For my Thursday late workshop, I want to create a sound / performance response to the works from the house proud exhibition and the East meets West. I start by looking a specific items and creating a story as if I am say the varse or plate... I want to create a very open breif as I would like the performance to have room to progress and change over the course of the evening. I want to ask for audience participation, to do this I will create an alternative musical box. Featuring instruments that are household objects such as pots and pans and tea cups and plates. Whilst looking after my two year old niece I bought a tin tea mug she liked it and decided to run it along railings. And banging it on various things along our walk. The noises changed and she made rhythms and bangs. I want to capture this freedom and childish creativity in my workshop allowing adults to experience this. I will also compose and write an acoustic vocal pice writing lyrics in relation the the current exhibitions and ask the audience to join in issuing objects from the box or something they have found or even adding in there own vocal of something they have seem. I want my workshop to be very expressive free and open to interpretation. |
